For Doctors (GPs) only
We’d love to make your job easier for you, so we hope some of this information helps.
Biopsy proven Melanoma and SCCs are given the highest priority for appointments and can generally be seen by one of our dermatologists within 7-10 days. Please advise our admin staff of your provisional diagnosis when seeking an urgent appointment. Whenever required we can place patients on our cancellation list, which generally results in an earlier appointment. If you are not satisfied with the lead time for any patient appointments please ask to speak to the Practice Manager.
Talk to the Dermatologist
If you would like to discuss a patient’s condition with their treating dermatologist, our doctors are happy to take phone calls from colleagues during business hours and whilst consulting. Should the doctor be in surgery, they will return your call as soon as possible. Should you wish to discuss a more general dermatology issue, our doctors are happy to take your calls after consulting for the day. This would generally be after 5pm.
Patient follow up
We advise all patients should they have any concerns regarding treatments, procedures or aftercare to contact the practice. We have nurses and doctors on site every day to attend to any queries. Their treating doctor may not be available on that day but another doctor will be here. Exceptions may occur when doctors are on leave. We also organise community nursing for patients should the need arise.
We prefer to send and receive correspondence via secure electronic messaging.
