Vascular Laser Therapy

Laser therapy is well established and effective in the treatment of visible capillaries and blood vessels close to the surface of the skin that cause facial redness and flushing.

This technology works to reduce the appearance of this condition by targeting red blood cells with a specific wavelength of light energy that destroys the unwanted blood vessels or capillaries.

The number of sessions required will vary based on the area being treated, but is generally between 1 and 3 treatments.

Results are often permanent, although a top-up treatment may be required every 6-12 months depending on the underlying cause of the condition.

Hair Reduction with Nd:YAG Laser Therapy

Laser hair reduction is a safe and effective treatment for unwanted hair growth and works by destroying targeted hair follicles with precision laser light.

At ID+LC, laser therapy is performed by highly trained staff, requires no downtime and will usually require 3 to 4 treatment sessions.

Laser hair reduction is especially suited to those with darker skin who may experience pigmentation changes with Broad Band Light therapy.

Hair Reduction with Broad Band Light (BBL)

BBL works on the same basis as laser therapy for hair reduction, but uses light from a different part of the light spectrum. The amount of permanent hair reduction will depend on the area treated and the number of sessions carried out, and there is minimal downtime.

BBL is best suited to fairer skin types, as it may lead to pigmentation changes in darker skin.

Ablative Laser Resurfacing

A well-established and effective treatment for a range of visible skin conditions such as wrinkles, pigmentation caused by sun exposure, as well as acne and other scarring.

During the procedure the ablative laser removes the top epidermal layer, promoting new growth that leads to visibly smoother and even-toned skin.

Laser resurfacing can be used on any area of the body and is performed under local anaesthetic. Recovery time depends on the condition and area treated, but is generally between 7 and 14 days.
